Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore (M.P.), vibrated with energy as it proudly hosted Manthan 2025, Central India’s biggest youth fest, from April 24th to 26th, 2025. This year’s Manthan was a vibrant ode to “Enriching Indian Roots, Celebrating Culture,” a theme beautifully woven into every aspect of the three-day extravaganza. The campus buzzed with an overwhelming participation of around 1200 students from various schools and colleges across the nation, hailing from diverse cities such as Pune, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Mumbai, Delhi, Indore, Gwalior, Bhopal, Dewas, Urai, Kota, Sheopur, Jhansi, and even international participants from Dallas and Dubai. The air was thick with anticipation, and the collective spirit of youth and cultural pride was truly palpable. Beyond the participants, the event drew an impressive crowd, with the total number of attendees swelling to more than 6000 students, creating a truly electrifying atmosphere across all three days. This grand scale was further supported by generous sponsors, including Imagica Water Park, Raziffy, Vrindavan & Cafe Yolo, Saveera Makeup Academy, and Divine Trail, whose contributions were instrumental in making Manthan 2025 a spectacular success.

The seamless execution of Manthan 2025 was a testament to the meticulous planning and dedicated efforts of its leadership. Dr. Prayatna Jain, as the overall Coordinator for Manthan, steered the ship with remarkable vision. Supporting him were Dr. Arpit Loya and Dr. Deepti Masand Sharma, who expertly coordinated the PG Campus activities, while Dr. Bharti Malukani and Dr. Saurabh Singh took charge of the UG Campus. The Law Campus events were skillfully overseen by Dr. Gopal Kag and Mr. Nakul Singh Chauhan. This collaborative spirit extended to the student body, with Vardhan Khandelwal leading as President, and a dynamic team of Vice-Presidents including Aarushi Chelawat and Shubh Kadia for the PG Campus, Jaypal Sharma for the UG Campus, and Ishika Soni for the Law Campus, all working tirelessly to bring the vision of Manthan to life.

The excitement for Manthan 2025 began long before the actual event. In a significant prelude, the Batch Ceremony of the council members was held, formally inaugurating their roles and responsibilities. This was followed by the much-anticipated Dangler Launch across all campuses, an event marked by the rhythmic beats of dhols, dazzling pyros, enthusiastic dance performances, and an overarching sense of ‘Masti’ (fun). These pre-event festivities served to build an incredible buzz and unite the entire student body in anticipation of the grand festival.

The Trilogy culminated on Day 3 with “Desi Shine,” a delightful fusion of traditional elegance and contemporary flair, where participants truly shone. The spirit of participation was infectious, and the enthusiasm was recognized with awards in various categories, including Mr. and Ms. Paridhan and Best Walk, celebrating not just fashion, but the inherent joy and spirit of the participants.

The inaugural ceremony of Manthan 2025 set a captivating and inspiring tone for the days that followed. The esteemed presence of Ms. Piyush Bhargava, Regional Programming Head – Red FM, Mr. Umer Ahmed (a cherished alumnus and renowned singer), and Mr. Devdutt Bhargava (a celebrated photographer), added immense gravitas to the occasion. Mr. Umer Ahmed truly mesmerized the audience with his soulful rendition of both timeless classics and contemporary hits, creating an enchanting atmosphere that resonated with everyone present. The ceremony reached an even more captivating crescendo with a special dance performance by traditional dancers from Jhabua. Their graceful movements and vibrant costumes beautifully depicted the rich cultural heritage of India, a poignant reminder of the festival’s core theme: “Enriching Indian Roots and Celebrating Culture.” It was a moment that truly connected the audience to the heart of India’s traditions.

Throughout Manthan 2025, a plethora of competitions unfolded, each meticulously designed to challenge intellect, foster creativity, and celebrate the diverse facets of Indian culture. For the first time ever, Manthan introduced separate competitions exclusively for school students, recognizing and nurturing young talent from an early age. This new addition allowed for tailored challenges, ensuring a fair and engaging experience for all. From the sharp intellect required for the Quiz and Biz Quiz to the melodic expressions in Aalaap (Singing Competition) and the synchronized beauty of Taal Se Taal Mila (Dance Competition), there was a platform for every talent. Participants delved into strategic thinking with Gamify (Online Simulation Competition) and explored the intricacies of finance in The Dalal Street (Stock Market). Entrepreneurial spirits soared in Brandendeavour (Brand Management Event), while culinary skills were put to the test in Swaad-e-Khaasi (Fireless Cooking Competition). Music filled the air with Rhythm & Blues (Instrumental Music Comp.) and the energetic Battle of Beats (Rock Band Competition). Intellectual prowess was on full display in Advocate’s Arena (Devil’s Advocate Comp.), while Janbaazon Ke Janbaaz (Adventure Games Comp.) provided an adrenaline rush. Visual storytellers captivated audiences in Shutter Click (Photography Comp.) and Reelathon (The Reel Making Competition). The Samvad (Debate Competition) saw passionate arguments on topics relevant to Indian culture, while Bollytrivia (Bollywood Quiz) tested popular culture knowledge. Artistic expressions found their canvas in Kalakriti (Art Competition), and Hunharbaaz (Talent Hunt) unearthed hidden gems.
The debate competition, in particular, was a highlight, fostering spirited intellectual discourse that directly reflected the festival’s central theme. For the school students, the topic “Can Indian Traditional Sports Ever Replace Western Sports in Modern School Education? क्याभारतीयपारंपरिकखेलआधुनिकविद्यालयीशिक्षामेंकभीपश्चिमीखेलोंकास्थानलेसकतेहैं?” sparked a lively discussion on the importance of indigenous games and their rightful place in modern educational systems, with passionate arguments on both sides. College students engaged with the complex question, “Can Ancient Indian Management Principles (Chanakya Neeti, Arthashastra) Be Applied to Modern Business Strategies, or Do Western Models Better Fit Today’s Complex Business Needs? क्याप्राचीनभारतीयप्रबंधनसिद्धांत (चाणक्यनीति, अर्थशास्त्र) आधुनिकव्यावसायिकरणनीतियोंमेंलागूकिएजासकतेहैं, याआजकीजटिलव्यावसायिकआवश्यकताओंकेलिएपश्चिमीमॉडलअधिकउपयुक्तहैं?”, prompting a critical analysis of the enduring relevance of ancient Indian wisdom in today’s globalized business landscape. These debates were not just about winning; they were about fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of India’s intellectual heritage.
