The Institute has been rated as ‘A’ class management institute by NAAC. PIMR is the only management institute in Central India to have this rating.
The Institute is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
The Institute has received international accreditation from International Accreditation Organization.
In recognition of its performance and high standards in providing quality education, the Institute has been conferred Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission as well as Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya on the recommendation of a high powered expert committee appointed by UGC to inspect the Institute. This is a major milestone for the Institute.
The MBA program offered by the Institute has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation of the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.
In view of performance of the Institute, Devi Ahilya University has accorded permanent affiliation to the Institute.
The University Grants Commission, New Delhi has recognized the Institute under Section 2(f) and 12(b).
The Institute has been Conferred “Hall of Fame” Award by Dewang Mehta B-school in 17th B-School Affaire in 2009.
The Institute has been ranked consistently in the upper edge of top ranking business schools in the nation- wide surveys carried out by the agencies like Business Today, Cosmode, Ministry Human Resource Development, Business India and Outlook - which has enabled the Institute to achieve significant position amongst B-schools in the country. The Institute was ranked 2nd in Central India. Recently it was rated “A+” by Business India Magazine and secured 30th rank in a survey conducted by C-fore, which was published in OPEN Magazine. The institute has also earned privilege of been ranked among College of Excellence by GHRDC and obtained 33rd rank in OUTLOOK magazine. The achievements of the Institute in a short span of seventeen years of its existence have been appreciated widely.
Most of the courses of study are taught to inculcate in the students the ability to analyze the problems and to develop analytical skills and an appropriate approach to problem solving.
Mendel University of Agriculture and Forestry, Brno, Czech Republic, The College of Management Mahidol University (CMMU), Bangkok, Thailand and Prestige Institute of Management and Research (An Autonomous Institution), Indore, have signed an MoU to develop closer ties between the Institutions of learning in the field of modern Management Education.
The Institute has also signed MOUs with AISEC for providing Foreign Internship to the students; ASPIRE for enhancing personality and presentation skills of the students, and with Punjab National Bank for student loan.
A Global News Magazine Eurasia Times ranked the Institute as the Top Management Institute in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Management games and cases are used to simulate business environment, develop involvement and participation and make the learning purposeful and effective.
Major foreign languages like French, Chinese and German are taught to students to help them prepare for international business.
Foreign faculty are invited in the Institute to take classes especially in foreign language / foreign country orientation and management related subjects. In the year 2009-2010, three faculty members of China, Ms. Qi Ping Wang; Ms. Guan Shuang; and Ms. Linna Fu had come to the Institute to teach Chinese to the students. In the year 2010-2011, three faculty members of China, Mr. Ran Weiming; Ms. Xiaowen Zu and Ms. Liwei Wu had come to the Institute to teach Chinese to the students.
Seminars and extra-mural lectures are organized from time to time for students to encourage prospective professionals to be skillful in seeking and acquiring knowledge rather than having it imparted in the class rooms only.
The Institute offers consultancy service to industrial and business units through its faculty especially in the areas of production, finance, marketing, human resource management, systems and typical problem areas of general management. The Institute has already provided consultancy to Computer Software Corporation India, Directorate of Distance Education – Pondicherry University and Aegis School of Telecommunication.
ACADEMIC FORUM
This is a unique feature of the Institute that provides opportunity to each faculty member to share his/her thoughts and academic views. Academic forums are held every fortnight to arouse and sustain academic ambience in the Institute
CASE BANK
The Institute is developing a Case Bank for facilitating the faculty in procuring cases on various topics. Besides having a collection of 566 cases from various sources, it also includes the cases for classroom teaching and training programs developed by the faculty of the Institute.
FACULTY AND STAFF CLUBS
PIMR has a Faculty Club as well as a Staff Club, which celebrate birthdays and organize farewell parties and outings to facilitate the development of fraternity amongst all members of the PIMR Family. The employees of the Institute are sensitive to social issues, and have always come forward at the time of national disasters and calamities. They voluntarily donated one day's salary towards Mumbai Deluge Relief Fund, Tsunami Relief Fund, Gujarat Earthquake Relief Fund, Orissa Relief Fund and Kargil Fund in the past.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
The Institute regularly organizes various cultural and social activities. Functions like Independence Day and Republic Day are celebrated by students, faculty and staff members with patriotic zeal. Sports Competitions, Quiz, Antakshari etc. are some of the regular co-curricular and extra- curricular activities of the Institute. To promote Indian culture amongst youth, some of the programs organized in association with SPIC-MACAY are as under:
Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore organized a Rajasthani Vocal and Dance Recital in Collaboration with SPIC-MACAY on December 18, 2010. The artists had come all the way from Badmer, Rajasthan and gave an amazing performance in the presence of faculty and students. Program started with famous Rajasthani folk song ‘Kesaria Balam Padharo Mare Des’ which was followed by various dances and songs of Rajasthani Culture.
Rajasthani Vocal and Dance Recital was organized by the Institute in association with SPIC-MACAY on December 18, 2009. The artists from Badmer, Rajasthan and gave an amazing performance. There were ten members in the Group including Kammachya, Khadtal and Manjari players.
Rajasthani Folk recital (Vocal and dance) was organized by the Institute in association with SPIC-MACAY on April 11, 2008. The artists were Langas & Mangniars from Rajasthan.
A Punjabi Folk recital in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY was organized on January 30, 2007.
Purulia Chhou Dance Recital in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY was organized on November 03, 2006. The artists gave an amazing performance at the Institute premises.
ROTARACT CLUB
Rotary International has given Charter to install Rotaract Club in the Institute to provide opportunity to the students of PIMR to serve the society in general and weaker sections in particular and carry out programs to maintain the ecological balance. The PIMR Rotaract Club was adjudged as the Best Rotaract Club of the Rotary District 3040 for the year 2004-05. It organizes various activities like Blood Donation Camp; and Rose Day and Chocolate Day to raise funds which is donated for noble cause. Following Activities were organized under the banner of Rotaract Club:
On March 1, 2011, PIMR organized “Chocolate Day celebration” for faculty and students. The event was an amalgamation of enjoyment and social cause. Through this activity an amount of INR 6850 was collected on this occasion and was given to the PIMR Rotract Club which will be further used for a noble cause.
On February 12, 2011 Under the aegis of PIMR Rotary Club the Institute organized Rotract Friendship Exchange Program with UK 1220 Chapter. On this occasion an amount of Rs 10,000 was donated to Sanjeevani Seva Sansthan, Indore for new born children’s welfare.
On November 19, 2010,National Communal Harmaony day was celeberated and sticker flags were sold and an amount of INR 2420 was generated.
On September 5, 2010, Teachers day was celebrated and a sum of INR 3000 was donated to UNICEF.Also the students of Future Foundation(An NGO) were invited to attend the same program and they were donated stationary set.Also lunch was provided to them.
On August 15, 2010, Independence day was celebrated, dance programmes of deaf students of Sanjivni Sewa Sangam Sansthan were organized in Prestige Campus and a sum of rs.18000 was donated for hearing aids,also 34 buckets were donated to Mahesh Drishtiheen Kalyaan Sangh for their blind female students.
On January 26, 2010 Republic Day was celebrated by the Club and a sum of Rs. 4000 was generated for Rotaract Club of PIMR, Indore through the sale of flags and bands.
The Institute organized an Installation ceremony (OATH ceremony) for the member of Rotaract Club of up town PIMR on November 6, 2009. Rotract Club members took OATH that they will work devotedly and commitedly for the development and upliftment of the society and that they will abide by the principles of Rotaract club.
The PIMR Rotaract Club, in association with the Rotary Club of Indore – Uptown had organized a ROTARACT FETE. The Fete included stalls on various themes and games being setup by the students, snack and food stalls, DJ arrangement and fun activities for the entertainment of the students.
PIMR Rotaract club under the aegis of Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore conducted a workshop on Swine Flu awareness on 17th August 2009. Dr. Deepak Bansal MD Medicine, DTCD (Delhi), Consultant Chest Physician and Bronchoscopist, Bombay Hospital, Indore delivered an informative lecture on Swine Flu awareness.
